Donald Joseph Qualls, better known as DJ Qualls is an American actor producer and fashion model. Shooting to fame for his roles in Road Trip he has since been featured in more than 20 feature films including The New Guy Hustle & Flow as well as The Core. Also, he's appeared on 22 television shows, including Breaking Bad Supernatural scrubs lost Law & Order among others. Qualls has been fighting Hodgkin's Lymphoma from the time he was 14 years old. Within two years the cancer went into remission. The treatment at an early stage had a negative effect on his body. It hampered his development. Since he grew up in poor circumstances, he was determined to attain financial stability. He said, "I've been living so in a state of financial sanity for so long that I'm in need of money security or else the world will feel out-of-control to me." Looking back at his childhood, he wants to make a difference in the bullying issue. DJ says that "Cruelty is a snare to my heart." DJ's dream role would be to become a father on reel as well as in reality. He does however admit that the directors rarely make him the ideal choice for those kinds of roles. It's a dream to be one day an adult, and the time comes when he can devote more time with his career and spend more time with his children.
